Aquafresh White Trays Review (from Consumer Reports)
The Aquafresh Whitening tray is the newest over-the-counter whitening product to hit store shelves. The product is made up of disposable pre-filled trays that fit over the top and bottom teeth. The Hydrogen Peroxide percentage in the bleaching gel is unknown at this time (see below). Based on the average over-the-counter hydrogen peroxide concentration, we think the Aquafresh White Trays is around 7%. The unique flexible structure of the tray allows it to fit snug in the front and back of the teeth. By covering both sides, the bleaching gel is able to cover a lot of surface area, making it one of the most effective over-the-counter whitening products on the market.
What does the Aquafresh White Tray Package contain?
Each Package delivers 7 days worth of whitening treatment. The package contains trays for the top and bottom of teeth.
Does Aquafresh White Trays work?
Yes, you should see results with this product. If you have used whitening strips in the past, then you will definitely see results with the Aquafresh White Trays. Whitening strips tend to cover a small portion of the smile arch while also having slippage. The aqua fresh whitening trays cover more teeth than whitening strips and are kept secure on the teeth.
What are the disadvantages of the Aquafresh White Trays?
The disposable trays are effective, but they are never better than a custom mold tray of your own teeth. A custom mold will ensure that the tray fits perfect in your mouth and covers all teeth. Since the Aquafresh White Tray has a predetermined size to fit the “average mouth” , you will likely notice that it does not cover all your teeth. So if you have a Julia Robert’s smile (you show all your teeth), you might be better off with a custom solution. To get a custom tray, you would have to go see a dentist. Expect to pay several hundred dollars for this.
A one week supply of Aquafresh white trays costs $36.99
For about $0.50 a week, you could get the same results using hydrogen peroxide as your mouthwash. Most tooth whitening systems use hydrogen peroxide as the whitening agent.
Every morning and before bed after brushing, flossing use Hydrogen Peroxide as your mouth wash. You can buy hydrogen peroxide (3% in the brown bottle) at your local drugstore for about $1 for a 16 ounce bottle. Mix ½ ounce hydrogen peroxide with ½ ounce hot water and swirl in your mouth for about 1 minute. Spit out (DO NOT SWALLOW) and then rinse your mouth out several times with cool water
Using hydrogen peroxide as your mouth wash will not only whiten your teeth, it will freshen your breath and prevent future cavities (hydrogen peroxide kills the bacteria that causes bad breath and cavities)

I miss Aquafresh White Trays! They may have been less handy and more goopy. But guess what? They actually work the best outside of a hygienist chair. I saw a noticeable difference immediately, had to use them less and got more compliments on my white teeth than I do with the cheaper strips.

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.
Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

I know this sounds crazy, but the whitening strips that Walgreens make are the best that I have found. They are cheap (and usually buy one get one free) and my teeth have never been whiter. I get compliments all the time. They are in a blue box in the dental section. Believe me, I have been whitening my teeth for years!
