Humanist, as in humans being ones first concern, as in golden rule and similar beliefs, correct? You would take each of them on a case by case basis rather than lumping all of them into one category. I think our local area is doing that. They are only arresting people who committ crimes and leaving the others alone. Most people seem to agree with that. If you do nothing about the criminals, whose actions are hurting other humans, then you are no humanist, Christian or otherwise. If you do nothing about how they affect the poor in our country, and other problems, you are picking and choosing who to be a humanist with. So then how do you balance it? You certainly don't go to a foreign country and give them humanitary aid while ignore someone in your own town. You certainly don't choose to only see people from Mexico as humans and not people already living and trying to survive in America as humans. Don't try to fit a pro-illegal or pro-Mexican (chavanistic) belief into a humanitarian lable because it doesn't fit. To be a humanitarian you have to care about all humans, not just Mexicans with disentary.

We might have the respond quickly If unlawful workers interior the U. S. quit working or if the hot SS card coverage is placed into impression...there are prepared marches in cities around the rustic in protest to the Bush requirement. that's that SSecurity workplaces and agencies are required toprove the SSnumbers experience the staff...this is alongside with the incontrovertible fact that the gadget of matching SS#s with workers is already flawed and facilitates misidentification of legitiment workers many circumstances over. unlawful immigration? could we permit refugees from the conflict torn Iraq into this united states of america? Sweden does, and the international locations interior the Mideast are to distinctive ranges..sure the place do people who've lost each thing and function been threatened by armed militias bypass? Many are in shanty cities around Baghdad, residing with out water, nutrition, or any centers because of fact no one recognizes their plight...those human beings have no UN camps or Humanitarian help and those one hundred,000 and extra have no thank you to even circulate slowly to a border in hopes of even being a political refugee.... attempt that on for American supported conflict of aggression against harmless households....I doubt if one kinfolk in Iraq hasn't lost kinfolk individuals to the invasion...

Doing our best to help fellow humans, ie kids dying of dysentery? That may be true, but what about the sudden rise of tuberculosis in the U.S.? Legal immigrants have to go through a health screen, so its not them carrying it. Also, why was Hepatitis A just made a routine immunization for children in the US? It used to be that you only needed it if traveling to an underdeveloped country. Shouldn't we be taking care of our own children, too? More and more Americans are finding it difficult to pay for their kids' immunizations, due to sky rocketing health care costs - and some of those rises are due to the rest of us having to foot the bill for others' health care. Yes, I am concerned with the welfare of all people, but I will not put my own children in jeopardy in the process. I am sure, as a fellow Christian, you are familiar with "Render unto Caesar...". Yes, we have to be good Christians, and do our best to help others, but we must also be law abiding and respectful of the government and country in which we live. Our laws are not meant to hurt foreigners, they are meant to protect our citizens and our legal immigrants.

Typical liberals....always have a harsh word for Christians.
You say that kids die of dissentary in Mexico? Isn't that Mexico's job to take care of their kids?
Why do liberals always want America to solve the world's problems? We've got our own problems.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but we should worry about the kids without health insurance here in the good ol' U. S. of A.

The US is taking a humanist approach to illegal immigration. I have never once heard someone (meaning a politician) say anything which would take away someones life; but leave up to people to assume otherwise. Deporting people because they have broken our immigration laws is not inhumane, unless we were deporting them in body bags! If illegals are here and have been ordered to be deported and they have children that were either born here or born in another country, they need to either leave their children with relatives (in which I am sure there are plenty)or take them home with them. None of our immigration laws are that harsh where they are considered inhumane, but let pro-illegals tell you and they are.

All people ( legal immigrants or not) have the ability to live within the confines determined by the society in which they choose to nest.
It is an individual's choice to break the law.
If an individual decides to ignore the laws governing the society in which he lives he realizes that there are consequences. (If you commit a crime and don't know there are consequences- usually that means you are mentally handicapped and will be prosecuted accordingly)
In America, American citizens know that they must abide by the laws passed by the American government in order to remain citizens unaffected by the word ILLEGAL.
If anyone else chooses to come to America, in order to be unaffected by the word illegal- they must refrain from criminal activity.
Illegal immigrant still translates- go figure
inmigrante ilegal- Spanish
immigrant illégal- French
illegaler Immigrant- German
That must mean that it is an actual term. That must also mean it is an actual CRIME.
I am constantly amazed, at how people can choose which laws they believe need to be enforced.
Border security is necessary for many reasons:
remember 9/11, TB,Polio, HIV, criminals fleeing prosecution taking shelter in your neighborhood- preying on your children.

We need to find ways to bring Mexico "up" as opposed to bringing the U.S. "down" by allowing illegal immigrants into the country who have not had a background check for a criminal history and who do not meet basic requirements in terms of health.
It does nothing to help Mexicans for our kids to be infected with Hep. A and TB. It does nothing to help Mexicans for our crime rate to soar.

This is not an issue regarding race or humanitarianism. It is about the LAW. We can't take care of everyone in the world and we shouldn't be expected to. Why should we worry about the humanitarian problems of another country when our own citizens need help!?
Sorry but how is it my problem that kids in Mexico die of dysentery? It is our problem that kids in the US don't have a descent home or a good school.

I´m Catholic and I believe that we can only help our fellow humans to a certain extent. The US can´t take responsibility for the world´s poor and underdeveloped countries need to take charge of their own problems and think of ways to solve them. Life is a struggle but it makes us stronger in the end.

Let Mexico take care of its own problems. We have enough problems of our own to take care of. Most of which are gettting worse because of the expense of the illegals.
