Natural Gas has no natural odor. So, Mercaptans are added to allow it to be detected in small concentrations. If you have a leak, you will think it is a large one due to the potency of the mercapatan additive.

Actually, there are not many. As fossil fuels go, nartural gas produces low CO2 emissions for each therm of energy produced. It is also free of many other pollutants found in other fossil fuels. It does at times contain sulfur, but this is easily removed so the gas used as a fuel really releases no pollutants.

It can be easily transported across land via pipelines, but it si somewhat more difficult (and costly) to transport it across oceans.

Some people do not care about the ozone layer so they smoke they use products that are very armful for the air, and that i think is one of the disadvantages of natural gasses.
