Only show himself, or speak to people who already believe in him? Wouldn't it be more useful to talk to someone who's been doubting you for years? (DO NOT quote the Bible)

Then why, when i was doubting God for years, did he never show himself to me? It wouldn't have been hard, i didn't have much goin' on.

God talks to many people who are not Christians. Some people hear him and some people choose not to.
Well, maybe choose isn't the right word.... some people cant hear him over all the other stuff going on in their lives, but might be surprised if they took the time to listen.
Also God shows himself to everybody everyday in all manner of wonderful ways and actions and tangible things...

Some of the most striking conversions happen when God through the Holy spirit touches the soul of a person with no faith and shows them the way to Peace and Happiness.
I would suggest you do some more study on the subject.

Kind of hard to get an accurate answer to a question about God when you request that no one use the very book God speaks to us through in the first place. However, without quoting the Bible, believers are more in tune to God. We are aware of His existance and speak with Him regularly. In turn, our hearts are opened to hearing Him as well.
As for people who don't yet believe, they are still blinded by their own sin, whatever it may be. Usually it's pride. Once they realize their sins (however they might do that-it varies from person to person), ask forgiveness of those sins, receive Jesus Christ into their heart, then they will begin to sense, feel, and communicate with God.

God is always talking, you have to have an open heart to hear.
God is always drawing us to Jesus, because we all need a Savior.
We have to go through Jesus, to get to God.
If you have been doubting for years you need to turn to Jesus and ask Him to reveal the Truth.
You have to believe with all your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, He died for your sins, and God raised Him from the dead.
open your heart to Him, ask Him for forgiveness of your sins
invite Him into your life/heart and the relationship will begin.
Jesus will send the Holy Spirit who reveals Truth.
You will experience God like you have never imagined.
Not only will you call Him God, but you will have a relationship with Him and call Him Father.
Open your heart and have Faith.

I keep seeing people type the time for god to come is almost here...does that mean as in a week or in about 100 years?

God showed Himself to me before I got saved. I'm just happy I was able to recognize His calling me. God Bless You.
