I think I might understand this one..

Redeemed pointed out in her answer above, the following passage..

Isaiah 7:14 (King James Version)
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Last time I checked, the son of Mary was named Jesus, not Immanuel.

So, does this mean that people have been following the wrong guy? I've tried a few times, but I can't get Immanuel and Jesus to sound similar.. so maybe Jesus wasn't the son of God after all?

I think that's where the contradiction comes in?

the point of your question is unclear...you may be speaking of the contradictions surrounding the date of his birth, the method of his birth, the place of his birth, the circumstances of his birth, his paternity, or the actuality of his birth...so, if any of these contradictions are confusing you, i guess you did miss something.

What do you mean by a contradiction? Every human who is born must die.....and it is said he died for us....He is a spiritual but God made him appear in flesh and blood so people would understand and take his teachings and death seriously as they could identify with it

Most people including different religions agree Jesus was born. The dying and resurrection part, not so much.

It is not.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign;Behold a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and sh will call His name Immanuel.

It's not....

It's a fulfillment of OT prophecy

He was born of the virgin.......and became man. But He was all Deity as well.

I missed it too.
It is not a contradiction.
It is the fulfillment of prophesy.
