Well you see, I went off my birth control Because I was having problems with it and getting sick and hormonal and being just plain miserable. My boyfriend and are are Monogomous but we still use condoms even though I am on birth control and we have both been tested. sometimes we do not use one until the end or if it is spontaneous he pulls out. But my issue is that we are not as careful as we should be, which was okay when i was taking my birth control faithfully. But I cannnot bear to take it anymore it is just making me too miserable and mydoctor has tried everything. The problem is I have not yet told my boyfriend I have stopped taking it because I think he may get upset. Or not understand why I would stop. A baby would not be a crisis but we dont need or want one right now. I just want to GENTLY explain to him what I am going through and why I stopped and that we basically have to be more careful now. Guys, would you be upset?

Well I think that you should just tell him the truth. Had you mentioned that the pills were making you sick before? If so, then it should be easy. Your boyfriend should understand, and shouldn't be upset that you don't want to take something that is making you sick. Take this opportunity to talk to him about children, and what you both want. In the mean time, there are plenty of other types of contraception out there: IUD, depo shot, and many more. Talk to your doctor, or just look up birth control onine.

He would be more upset if you didn't tell him and something happened and then he found out. Just be honest and direct with him. He may not like it at first but give him time if he gets a little mad. if he truly loves you then he will understand that your wellbeing comes first!

No, if you explained it to him, he should be cool with it. If he does not understand or gets upset, then he is not the guy for you!
