Set bedtimes are not just for school days. 2 to 6 a.m. is too late for any kid. Sleep is a necessity for everybody, and a severe change in sleep schedule can result in many unhealthy patterns. Night terrors are common in children who have difficulty falling asleep at night, and i'm sure it has something to with the lack of sleep they are getting as a result. My 9 year old son goes to bed at 9 on school nights and usually reads until 10, and on weekends/holidays/vacation he stays up until 10 and reads or watches TV until 11. You're going to have your hands full getting him back to a regular sleep schedule before break is over. You may have created a monster.

Your son may have a very big imagination. My sister had a big imagination and she had bad dreams when she was a kid, and even though she is 42 now she still has bad dreams. I always told her she needed to be a writer. Maybe he is watching some show or movie that is causing the dreams, and when they are not getting a full night sleep they will have more vivid dreams, at least when I have a night where I sleep less I dream and remember more.

You don't say what time "late" is, but if he is watching scary movies/reading scary stories/or playing scary games, it might.

Also, if he is on a stict bedtime routine, staying up late but waking up at his normal time may be causing the bad dreams because he is not getting adequate sleep.

feels like she has a liberal parenting physique of recommendations the place the toddlers are allowed to rule to roost! Frankly he stated he needed no longer something greater suitable than chips (do you crisps or fries) in uk crisps are available in a pkt and chips are fries so uncertain what the nutrition on furnish replaced into - sorry! i'm going to anticipate a bag of crisps. confident it quite is incorrect for him to be ingesting complete dinner at 10pm or something at 10pm and yet another element WHY replaced into he UP at 10pm ? besides he would desire to have been in mattress via 8:30 recent in my living house. no one would desire to bypass to be mattress hungry yet whilst there have been set meal situations at clever hours then this would not be going on. My advice - next time she asks you to babysit you're very busy and are not getting entangled in any different case she'll take it which you're (rightly) thinking her parenting skills and you may result no being acquaintances. bypass away her to lift her son and shop tips. i think sorry for the baby he has no obstacles. life gets worse have self assurance me I believe you if this enables
