I'm not sure if he's a boy or a girl yet, cause he's less than a day old. But he's calico, and has a really cute stripe down his head and back. I like names that are different and aren't really people names, and I also like names that don't have a gender attached to them. I love putting Mr. before a name, even if it's a girl. but I'll take whatever, and whichever name I choose gets the 10 points!

First of all there is a 99.9% chance that the cat is female and not male. Male calico's do not survive and if they do it is very rare. I had a calico and I named her Princess which I know is not a unique name for an animal but hey I was like 5 when I got her. If I were you I would actually wait until you receive the cat to name HER. Don't give her a name right away. Get to know her first and see what type of personality she is going to have and then take it from there.

If it's a calico, then 99% chance it's a girl. My best cat was a calico, Max. I'd stay away from "Patches" which is so cliche.

Look at her closely and see what the splotches remind you of. For instance, Peaches may come to mind, short for Peaches and Cream. Some calicos look like rabbits, so you may want to call her bunni or something like that. My sister named her calli "Meow" because she has the sweetest meow on earth. It really fits her!

Wait until you have her, and get inspired by her look and her personality.

You are likely in for a really good cat!!!!!!

If it's a calico, it's probably a girl, but check these names out.
I love unique and fun names too. How about something like:
Pickle
Bubble(s)
Lacey
Button(s)
Sushi
Sunshine
The state you were born in or live in
Shark
Turtle
Flea
You could put Mr. in front of any of these, or just use them alone. P.S. Congrats on the new kitten

Name him Bread! Mr. Bread, if your religious, you'll think of God everytime! Uh, but to be a little more fun, I had a cat named Rhett Butler because he had what looked like a barbershop hair split on top of his head. I think nameing them old movie star names are AWESOME...they seem to know that they are fabulous when we do this. You could pick two names set aside until you know the gender Mssss. Judy Garland or MIster Clark Gable...

Mao Mao...it is chinese for cat...So Mr Mao or Mr Mao Mao would work.

It's a cat, not some silly dog, so he or she really needs a title.

For example, maybe Baron Von Mao Mao

Or if you want something more descriptive of a cat if you ever watched Rumpold of the Bailey, he called his wife, She who must be obeyed.

Maybe you should call your cat, He (or She) who must be fed

Now I am thinking more of Mr Names...maybe it is because I grew up on the Mr Men books.

So Mr Claws (or Mr Stripe)

Good luck with your new companion.

if you say a calico, 99% chance it;s a girl. almost all calicos are female, only very rarely are they male. so i would pick a girly name. may want to wait a bit though to see what personality she has too.

pookie is always cute.

I always liked the name Nick-o-Teen Filter for a calico cat because my parents smoked and he was calico with that yellowish orange that covers everything from cigarette smoke.
