Enoch was a prophet who allegedly lived from 3284-3017 B. C.

As you study ancient myths and legends about creation, you come to understand that they all are based on the same patterns of good and evil, etc.

The same soul who was Enoch the Prophet was also Thoth, Hermes, Metatron, among others who allegedly wrote 'Books about the Sacred Knowledge of Creation'. These creational stories are based on patterns of geometry that repeat in cycles through the concept of TIME.

In the Qur'an, Enoch is called Idris. In the bible he is sometimes called Akhnookh. He was a man of truth and a prophet. We raised him to a high station. Surah 19: 56-57

According to the biblical narrative (Genesis 5:21-24), Enoch lived 365 years, far less than the other patriarchs in the period before the Flood. Enoch allegedly walked with God who turned him into the archangel Metatron.

Enoch was the first to invent books and writing, much like Thoth the scribe.

I have actually touched a copy of Enoch's "Book of Knowledge" and got goosebumps. I knew I should have bought it, but it was so expensive. Now I wish I had. I have the "Emerald Tablets" of Thoth. I come across Enoch alot, and always get goosebumps. I will buy the book now.
Thanks!

I had an uncle once called Enoch, are you referring to him or to the son of Jared and father of Methuselah, a descendant of Adam through Seth and ancestor of Noah? The one believed to be taken away by God and who became known as the angel Metatron (also known in Islam as the prophet Idris)?

I think Molly's answer is funny - "It would not make sense for Jesus to be an Essene unless he was an extreme rebel in the group."

I like to refer to him as the Radical Rabbi from Nazareth. Would be nice to see his followers practicing some of the rebelliousness that he demonstrated, especially against the 'religious authorities'.

According to the Bible...

Enoch was the son of Jared. unless you are talking about the other Enoch that was the son of Cain...

Enoch Son of Jared... was Methuselah's father... and Enoch never died but was taken strait to heaven by God.

Total nonsense and balderdash. There are more leaps of faith there than at a Wallenda Family Reunion...and there is not a thread of historical evidence for any of it.

You really oughta stop believing in things you read on websites put out by head-cases and actually go to a University and take some classes.

Sheesh.

What are babbling about??? to be an essene Jesus would have abstained from wine. Since Jesus was accused of being a "wine bibber" He does not qualify as an essene.

I don't know where you are getting this information but you have already presented one problem of consistentcy.

I pray that you will be lead to real truth.

It would not make sense for Jesus to be an Essene unless he was an extreme rebel in the group. Christ hung out with sinners.

It's interesting how nothing is new. We just tell the same stories to fit our own times.
