T_T. How old was Milo? I'm sorry to hear he died so soon. Which recalled brand food did you feed him? Throw it all out. Please consider another kitten soon. You will be happy having another cat again. :).Hope you can find the same breed too.Your new kitten needs a healthy start. Keep looking into the recalled list of kitty foods and see which ones listed.

Many owners are now making their own cat food. You may want to do that. But, check in with the vet first. Home made food generally isn't recommended, unless in such cases or for a specific illness that Kitty may have.

Again, I am greatly saddened about your loss of your beloved furry friend. Keep his favorite toys as a memory, and any pictures you may have. That way he will always be with you.

Good luck and stay strong! Don't give up!! Much love. *hug*. ^-^.

I'm so sorry to hear about Milo, Sweetheart.

Yes, it is true that you can't bring Milo back. And of course you will miss him for quite a long time. It is normal to grieve: Go ahead and do so.

But don't forget the good things you did together either.

You might want to assemble a journal about him, with pictures and stories. And perhaps even written thoughts and prayers for him. That's what I did with my nephew some years ago when a kitty who had been around all his little life died.

Was there a plant or bush he especially liked? If you have a grave for him, plant that there. There is something comforting about such things.

Feel better, Sweetie.

I am teribly sorry for your loss. It is very heart breaking to lose a furry companion. I know its soon, but whenever your ready bring a new member to the family. Also about the pet food recall, if you have any evidence that the cause of death was the recalled food check your area on law suit cases. Maybe you can join up with other pet owners who had a loss such as yours and get justice for the loss of your pet! I'm sure Milo would have liked that. Again I am very sorry for your loss I'm sure Milo was a great companion. I'll keep him in my prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please write down the lot numbers from the bad food & report it to your vet. This petfood nightmare is awful & unfair. Sorry, I quite disagree with those who suggested you get another kitten right away. Yes, it will distract you, but,..... a pet is not at all like a bicycle that was stolen that you can go out & get a shiny new one. Most of us agree that it does take time. I wish for you that it didn't hurt so much. Losing a member of your family is so terribly painful. I hope that your friends & family aren't insisting to you that "you get over it, it was just a cat". Some people really 'don't get it', our connection with our fur-friends. Please be kind to yourself. Take your time. Only YOU will know when/if you're ready to adopt again. If it will help you get closure, pursue the legalities. If it's no help to you, just report it to help others. Milo still has part of your heart wrapped up in his little claws - he will always be there, trying to make you happy with memories of him. It hurts this much because you loved him. With Deepest Sympathy, Michelle

The best way to help dealing with anything you have lost in general is Time. You'll have to be strong, as in not think too much and not be depressed. Stay on the positive side of things.
I am sorry for the lost of your kitten. Hang out with your friends alot or stay with people who you are comfortable with. Keep your mind busy by doing many activities. If you have to cry, don't hold it in, it's better to let it out. Like I said in time you'll be at ease and let go of the pain. You may want to consider buying another kitten, to make up for the lost for your last. Milo 2, but give it time before you got another one when you're ready.

First of all, let me say I feel so sorry for you---I know exactly how you feel. I know youwant to bring him back--that is how I felt when my kitty==Felix, died in December. I still have waves of emotion that just bring me to my knees---I know he will never be back, but I still think of him--I dream he is still here. Felix died from something-----they told me anemia--we did everything to try and save is life. now I'm wondering--could it have been something I was feeding him. I hope not--but I was feeding him Salmon cuts in gravy. I will never know

Go to Petloss.com, everyone there is so great--I'm sure you will feel better after visiting this website. But I will tell you--it takes a while--and then you aren't really over it. Sometimes, I wonder if you do really get over a pets death because their love is unconditional.

I'm so sorry. Your poor kitty!!! :'( Burry her in your backyard and cry. Then when you feel a little better, adopt a kitten from the animal shelter. You both have been through something rough. And no, you are not forgeting about your late kitten, you are just moving on with your life, and that's OK.

I'm SO sorry for you and your kitty! It's aways hard when a pet dies, but when it happens from something SO unnecessary as bad pet food it's worse.
Here is a website that deals with loss of pets and helps deal with pet grief. I hopes it helps you a little.

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. That recall is a bad deal. Make sure and call the vet to report it and follow their instructions on how to handle it thru the 'legal' issues.
You have to go thru the greiving process and then think about a new pet.
