How do I show this shy guy I fancy him?

Without scaring him off. Also how can you tell if a shy guy likes you?

tell him, take an interest in his hobbies etc. if he is shy, it should be easier to tell him

Find out some of his interests etc from his friends, then simply go and talk to him. If you are 'in' to a shy guy, I'm guessing that you yourself are a pretty confident girl.

Often, if a girl merely takes an interest in a shy guy, it's enough to get a very positive response from him. He will be very pleased that you are taking an interest in him.

He may have been wanting to talk to you, but has never had the confidence. By making this first move, you are also removing a 'burden' from his shoulders.

I think you will probably be met be a sense of relief, and then a rather positive response.

Then you will probably be able to tell if he likes you. If he does, he will probably respond to you with some kind of joy and enthusiasm. Once you have chatted to him, leave it acouple of days, and see if you can find out anything from his friends. If he has told them something positive about you, the chances are he likes you.

Im in the same situation, i like someone, he used to work with one of my mates and my mate says he likes me but we just have never gotten round to talking, and i would have to start the conversation up as he is really shy, but i only ever see him when he is at work, and cant spend all my time there. Guess i should just talk to him really. yous hould o the same, ask him about himself and ask him questions that he cant just say yes or no to, as you get to know him better you will just know.good luck hope it works out.

I am a person who find a bit hard to tell people that i like them and i want to be dating them. I was usually asked this question by the girls. (which never been done recently!!!!...lol)
I never refused to go out with them for the first time, and when they told me that they like me I was truthful to them. I would tell them straight away that I have the same feeling or not.
I like the idea of being asked out. you should aske them if they like you or not.

Just tell him, if he is shy he will at the very least be flattered by your affection, at best over joyed. If you dont take risks and chances then you dont get anywhere.... go for it and I hope things work out for you.
