Hitler aimed to establish in Germany a totalitarian dictatorship, one in which the state would control all aspects of people's lives. This involved making sure that people did not have loyalties that were stronger than their loyalties to the state. In a country that in many ways was still strongly Christian. It was important therefore for Hitler to do all he could to prevent the Christian Churches from becoming a source of opposition to his rule.
Stalin's rule during the 1930s was based on fear and terror. No one was safe. Leading Bolshevik politicians, party officials of all ranks, scientists, generals in the Red Army, writers, teachers, factory managers, former members of the middle class, priests of the Orthodox Church, ordinary people - all were liable to be seized in the middle of the night, accused of made-up crimes, shot, left in prison for years without trial, or sent to a slow and lingering death in one of the country's many labour camps. It was not even necessary to have done or said anything that might be considered hostile to the government. Many people died having no idea why they were being punished.

How is God NOT like Hitler and Stalin. With all the mass genocides to his name, I'm afraid God would top that list.
Perhaps I would take Stalin over God.

What if Julius Ceasar was god.... then you would have the roman catholic church.... take a look at the mess on earth it's hell for far to many.... the only reason the pope doesn't want women to have birth control is the ceasar wants to keep as many slaves on earth that he can...
Take a look at the violence with which catholicism began.. you were murdered for not believing....

"god" has killed far more people than Stalin and Hitler combined. Famine, war, disease, etc, all laid at the feet of "god". (I'm sure some religious scholar will say it's satan's work...*smirk*)
Some compassion.

Right category.
"What if Hitler were god?" "What if Stalin were god?"
If Stalin were god I would be an atheist.
If Hitler were god I would be an atheist.
This question was meaningful for me, was it meaningful for you?
