I think you're refering to Kona Dawg. Kona is the name of the builder, and Dawg the bike model name.

They do have road bikes, but I don't think it's their strong line.
They do make good, strong bikes. :)

I found 2 manufacturers with Dawg as a bike name: Huffy and Kona
stay away from the Huffy
the Kona is good
both are MTB, so I did not find any Dawg road bike names

Kona is the manufacturer. There are 4 models to choose from in the Dawg line. Their road lineup is the Zing family - have received good reviews.
