Yes, very much so. But no crime remains a crime if it is supported by the majority. Look at slavery.

Yes, often it is. Fear misplaced is the problem. Fear has a good use. It can and does keep us alive. For instance, 'fear' is what keeps us from sticking our fingers in an electrical socket, does it not?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, however. We are not to and should not fear any church/religious organization, but should fear the wrath of a Holy God.

I disagree. In fact I think scaring people into church with the threat of hellfire is one of the best ways to get people to walk away from God.
Look at this way, we (Christians) go to the Master's (God's) table not for the food on the table (blessings) and not because we want to avoid starvation (hell) we go to be with the Master and share in His company. God bless!

I am not religious becuase I am afriad of going to hell. Actually I am religious because I want to recieve the highest glory of heaven. Even if I wasn't religious I would not go to hell according to LDS doctrine, I just would not recieve the highest glory.

Yes, it is. So is telling the public to do something "or the terrorists win." So is telling your child that if they don't eat their broccoli that Santa Claus won't come this year.

No, it's more like brainwashing, try telling a J.W that their church is a cult and they will swear that it isn't.
Try telling a Catholic that they are worshiping a statue and they will swear that they are not.
Churches and religion are brainwashing the masses and are indirectly emotionally abusing people.
