I prefer the word faith, as religion for many people means a set of morals and rituals. It also has a negative connotation because people see it as the cause of many wars.
Faith goes deeper. It implies a personal relationship with God.
For me it has come through Christianity.

Saying best is assuming one is good. I guess it depends on what you're going after. If you're looking for comfort, then the best religion would be the one everyone around you believes in as that's what religion is...a cultural thing. If you're looking for answers, religion doesn't offer squat. That's why it's called religion instead of science.

If I was *really* pressed to pick a religion, I would pick Buddhism. Or Jainism. Or Quaker. Tolerant, peaceful religions.
My experience with Quakers and Buddhists, especially in the Peace Movement, have been very positive.
I haven't met a Jain yet, but if you know that Mahatma Gandhi was heavily influenced by Jainism, and that he spoke highly of it ...

I'm catholic, and let me tell you that is one of the most strict religions and i found out that most of the rules catholics have are contradicting. i believe in god i pray but i do not go to church. me personally i think that when religion started there was only one, and as the time passed by and people started disagreeing with rules they decided to go their own way and started another religion which it was based on the previous one but just different rules.
If you think about it most religions have the same believes, and one of the things that changes are the name we call god.
So, my point of what i believe is, that no matter which religion you are, they are the same as long as you believe and pray to a god.

I wonder why people often ask this question. It is usually asked by someone who hasn't even looked into any religion and is just sort of standing around stirring the dirt with their feet. Religions are man made and therefore have human limitations. There is one true and living God, one Savior, and the HOly Spirit to dwell within us. Bias? Not to me, definitely to some. I just know it's true because I live it every day.

I still think mine is the best. Others may disagree, but then again, I disagree with them. Mine is the best because it speaks to my soul in a way that none of the other religions I tried ever did.
