i have a small lump on the left side of my pharynx and it hurts me a little when i eat.now my left ear is also starting to hurt me.a month passed and the lump is still there. are that two things connected?i had gone to my doctor who is M.D. but she said it is nothing.i want to hear the word from an expert what is this?

Even if there was an otolaryngologist here, he would tell you exactly what I am about to say. No one, not even an otolaryngologist, can diagnose you without an examination. The lump must be seen and palpated. Questions need to be asked to get a complete history of the lump. Please ask your doctor for a referral and go see an otolaryngologist for a second opinion. It is the only way to find out what is going on.
