Did he get bored with it?
Did he get sick of people writing down the wrong thing?
With so many people interpreting the bible in so many different ways, shouldn't he inspire some new chapters to clarify things for the modern age?

Ahh, good question, but the fact is he has not stopped.
The bible it self is the writings of many people.
But we still have books produced in our time.
The bible is the word of God, but still we have books outside the bible with further insight
God inspires to this day.

In Revelation it says that there was a long silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then - there is supposed to be an angel with a little book or scroll. This is supposed to be a completely different angel, from all the male angels, and is equated with God. Yes, it will probably shed some light on the entire Bible.

He may still be inspiring holy texts, but we choose to read those closest to the time of Jesus because there was less time for heresy and blasphemy to the story. If the Bible was never written then, but was written now based on events that happened 2,000 years ago, it would be very different and about 95% false.

If you are referring to the fact that mainstream Christianity has the Bible closed with no more to be added (because some "cults" claim to have holy text that is very recent), it is due to the coming of Christ. In Hebrews 1:1-2 it says that "in these last days he has spoken to us by his son" there is no more to be said.

We already have everything we need to know. If God is truly all-powerful he does not need to inspire any more text. Those whom he wills to understand what is said will understand it. (See Luke 8:10: “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’)

There is only "ONE" correct interpretation of scripture. Most people try to make it mean something entirely different from what it actually means. No wonder we have hundreds of Christian denominations, everyone tries to make the Bible support their preconceived ideas instead of the other way around. It means what it says-nothing else.

Because the phrophecies in the Old Testament were fulfilled in the New Testament by Jesus Christ. We have Revelation which tells us about the end times, so we are not in need of any additional inspired text.
