I do not look to man to defend what God tells me in his word.
Man has allot of traditions, and holidays, and certain ways to live.
Jesus said that he came " Not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. Not one letter will be removed from the law, until all has been fulfilled."
We must understand, that nothing exists without Gods permission. Every thing was made by God, for God, and nothing would exist that God did not want to exist.
But there is free will, and nothing that God allows to exist is bad.
Just bad use of it.
Remember that it was " The tree of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil "
Man was fine until he gained the Knowledge. Then his eyes were open, then he had sinned.
Free will.
As long as we do not interfere with the rights of another, or force them to live within our morals, then we have the option of living within OUR own moral, and physical world, free from human tradition, and restraint, to live our lives for God, as WE, INDIVIDUALLY, choose.
And we must allow others the same courtesy.

Sister in Christ, Why must you place a burden on yourself? Yes I defend My God and My Lord in Faith adn believe that Jesus died for my transgressions. But no one can stop you from praying if they can't hear you pray. The Bible says to go into a corner by yourself to pray, as to not make a great show of your Faith. Also, why are we so concerned about Atheists having opinions that differ from us? We cannot convert them, only the Lord God can. We plant the seed and God makes it grow. Let Him do His will. Remember, even Jesu said, "He that has an ear, let Him hear", so if they or anyone will listen and hear they will. God Bless You.

I myself find that I have to defend Jesus more then god. One of me pastors had said that if you mention god people seem to be alright with that. even non christian groups believe that there is a god even if they make up their own god. If you want to clear those same people out of the room just tell them that Jesus loves them and its amazing how it can clear a room. when you witness keep in mind that you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. Pray for thoes that you witness to and above all do it with love.
I find that when I witness my faith is strengthened.
read your bible everyday and ask the Lord to teach you. Here is a site that may be helpful www.gardenlakebiblechurch.org I have grown from these church services and I hope you do too.

The bible says in the last days, they will call good, Evil & call evil, good, You ask why atheists are against God, Friend anything that satan has to do with is against God, God does not need anyone to defend his word, God is very much capable of doing that himself, soon this world will be seeing God do all of this, God will make himself known to all the world, the only ones that will escape will be the TRUE CHRISTIANS.

I enjoy speaking of God in order to spread the truth. I do not enjoy speaking of God in that it causes others to hate me and drive some people further from God. However, the Bible itself is uncensored, and presented in a "take it or leave it" manner en masse, so why should those that tell the truth feel any different? If people refuse to believe, then they refuse to believe. God doesn't, and Christians shouldn't, routinely force things down people's throats. You are right that faith is the key to "proof", and many witnessing the miracles of Jesus first-hand did not believe. Remember that those who do not believe the words of the prophets, even if one would be raised from the dead, they would not believe (Luke 16:31). The most we can do is then, to pray for them that God may guide them, open their hearts, and renew their spirits.

Colossions 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ."
Romans 8:9 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace: Because the mind of the flesh is opposite to God; it is not under the law of God, and is not able to be: So that those who are in the flesh are not able to give pleasure to God.
2 Timothy 2:23 - 26 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

1) There is no law that prohibits public prayer. I'm guessing you overheard that they "took prayer out of school" meaning they cannot force children to pray and just interpretted it in your own way. You are allowed to pray but you cannot be forced or force anyone else to pray.
2) How exactly would someone who doesn't believe in gods be against yours? What most atheists ARE against is the blatantly obvious promotion of your god that some people are trying to force on the unwilling public.

...why does an all-powerful entity need defending? Can't the big boy take care of himself?
"we can't pray in public."
Who the hell said that?? You're free to pray in public, I don't care. Just don't demand (or mandate it through law) that I have to join in on it.
" why are so many atheists against God if they don't even beleive in Him? "
Okay. I want you to read this question 100 more times, or until you get why it doesn't make a lick of sense.

> "Why is it that people are so quick to demolish our Faith saying that it is in the lawbooks, we can't pray in public."
Just common sense. *You* try to follow classes or to work with for example a bunch of Whirling Dervishes around you!

Paul encourages us to put on the full armor of God.
Ephesians 6:The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
