Im starting the lemon detox diet tommorow and you need cayenn pepper,lemons and tree syrup...but all i could find is basic pancake syrup...could i substitute it and the diet still work?

No, sorry but the pancake syrup lacks essential nutrients your body needs while undergoing such a harsh detox program. Plus sugar levels are sky high... Not a good idea. I used Grade A Maple syrup, but it is recommended you use Grade B. Hope that helps. :)

Hello,
I used basic (but good ) syrup and it worked. Instead of adding some cayenne pepper I put some ginger. I didn't feel like eating at all for 2 days (except for my breakfast, I can't work if I don't have coffee and a piece of toast). But I was quite 'fed up' and exhausted on the third day...

I thought maple syrup was the only thing you could use. If you do try it with pancake syrup, let me know how it goes.

Loose the rubbish and try a very light dairy free diet with high clear fluids for 2-3 days, if things don't settle rapidly see your doctor. Please tell as many of your friends to avoid fad diets and this mythological detox concept, and tell them to pass it on!

if there are any Mennonites living in your area ,they will have the freshest maple syrup=i imagine the one ingredient would be alright in (lite) as that what tree syrup is anyway
