A lot of Christians and other Religions have no idea about the Catholic Church, what you lot have learnt is from the internet and from very anti Catholic sites, but no matter what I say you won't believe me, you can say we are the anti Christ, the whore of Babylon, we worship Satan as much as you like but have you ever sat down and really studied the Religion from a Catholic site, probably not
Christians say they believe in God and follow the Bible, well you don't read it very well because Jesus said judge not lest you be judged, and in the time I have been here I have not once read a question from Catholics asking Christians, why do you do this or that. So what if we pray to Mary and the Saints it has nothing to do with you, we don't judge you so don't judge us
Catholics believe in the Bible and pray to God and don't worship the Devil
Why can't you understand this?

The evil one's business is to kill and divide and destroy, faith and unity. He has attacked the church with some success for 2000 years.

Be of good cheer. They MUST say these things about the Catholic Church because to do othrewise means that they are seriously wrong. Just as the leaders of Jesus' day HAD to get rid of them because His teaching meant that the leaders had some major life changes to make.
Sacred Scripture is clear. Jesus only founded ONE church. Either the Catholic Church isn't it and one of the 30K denominations is, or it was united by an "invisible"unity. The invisible unity claim is pretty tenuous in light of Jesus' words recorded in John 17 when He prayed that his followers would be ONE and He and the Father were ONE....call me crazy but I am guessing that there isn't doctrinal bickering between the Father and Son....AND that the world would SEE this unity (there goes the invisible unity idea right out the door) and be converted because of it.
Now since nowhere is Sacred Scripture do we see where it records a mandate for someone who disagrees with the Church to go set up his/her own those who have left the church have to come up with reasons why the Catholic Church is SOOOOOO evil that they can do that without scriptural support.
Always be sure that while you are defending 2,000 years of Catholic history, and providing scriptural support for doctrines they claim aren't....throw in a question or two of your own. Like "If the men who set the canon in 397 were SO full of the Holy Spirit that they could recognize what was and was not Sacred Scripture, why do you [Protestant Believer] reject what those men believed was plainly stated in those same scriptures like the Real Presence, Baptism for the remission of sin, the Sacraments, and ONE church?" Another good one when they are accusing you of worshipping by bowing is to ask that if bowing is worship, where do they do that in their worship services? They never answer you, but it's fun to ask anyway.

The bible says "judge not unless you have been judged, for in the same manner as you judge so also will you be judged by your standard of measure, first get your eyes open then you can open someone elses eyes". Matt7;1-5. So what that says is, learn the truth before you can teach it. Do not try to tell someone of something for which you do not have the knowledge. 1st Timothy2:5 For there is one God and ONE mediator also, between God and men, and that is the man Christ Jesus. Anybody who thinks that Catholics and devil worshippers are one and the same, need an education in truth. However, the bible is clear on who "the go between"(mediator) is in the two involved parties(God and mankind) and it says that there is ONLY one, and that ONE is Christ Jesus. For my information, you stated "I have not read a question from Catholics asking Christians"???? are you saying the two are different and separate?. P.S. I was Catholic(Greek for universal) at on time myself.

Hi Angel Eyes....
I spent the first 30 yrs of my life as a Catholic....so I can understand both sides...maybe I can help....
First, Catholics are Christian in that they believe that Jesus is the savior, just like the rest of us...and that He died for OUR sins, so that we could go to heaven. The difference is that Catholics don't think that this is all there is to it, they are much more into needed "works" such as the rosary, or saying 57 Hail Mary's as penance, they say it is a sin to miss Mass or eat meat on a Friday during lent. While all of these things are being done with good intentions, the lack of them are not sins - they are not necessary for salvation. They are man made, and not a directive from God. For the best understanding, please see the book of Romans. With that in mind, the only work that Jesus did ask for, is for us to tell everyone the good news - that all we have to do is BELIEVE and then we are saved....so when Christians are asking about that stuff, they are trying to make a point to Catholics that they are not necessary .... does that make sense? Please read the book of Romans and it will make sense.
God Bless!

And just why do you draw a line between Christians and Catholics? Catholics are Christians, the last time I checked.
It is only the outspoken from some Christian sects that talk down about the Catholic religion. Personally, I am not Catholic, but believe that Catholic was the first Christian church and that the Pope is the leader of all Christians and many of my fellow Christians believe that to.

When I was in college, I visited lots of churches, looking for the truth. I visited the Catholic church, too. I thought the priest sure dressed holy, and they washed hands in holy water. I was impressed. I had a catholic room mate, So I asked her about joining the catholic church. She said, you can't , you have to be born into it as a baby. I'm sure they change the rules since then. But the next thing i new, my friends were saying they would see the priest in a bar drinking. They said he became an alcoholic from drinking the wine in mass so often. I don't believe Jesus and the deciples took mass everyday or drank wine everyday. So, I decided this couldn't be the true church.

Praying to Mary and the saints is idolatry , What did a sinner do for us ? Why do you not eat meat on Friday ? For lent ? Where is lent in the bible ? Being Baptized will guarantee you to go to heaven ? Then why did Jesus die on the cross for then , if it is by works that we do. Ephesians 2:8-9/ 1 Timothy 4:1-5 My wife and a lot of members of our church were former catholics and they said they were blinded back then

1) You seem to be a bit confused: Catholics ARE Christians;)
2) I was brought up in a Catholic environment, and there's nothing about the Catholic Church.
3) I, personally, never thought Catholics were evil; I'm just agains ANY sort of religious fundamentalism, be it Christian/Catholic, Muslim , Jewish or else;)
4) And, yes, I'm Atheist. A very well informed and educated one indeed;) Peace.

You are oblivious to the history of the Catholic Church. Either that or you are confusing religion and the Church. The history of the Catholic Church is full of deceit with a female pope giving birth to a bastard who then grows up to murder the incumbent pope and becomes pope. Up to the 15 century the history of the church is a bloody story of deceit debauchery and sin. Read the bloody stuff in the history books.
