it's a year long process. It involves learning about the bible, the history of the bible, the 7 sacraments of the Catholic Church, the Church's early fathers, the papacy (popes), learning some prayers, having a person that stays with you during the year to be like a sponsor who prays with and for you and helps gets answers to all your questions.

After Easter, if you decide to fully become a Catholic, you receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. You are then a Catholic and can continue on with the Church's traditions and receive communion at mass and will be able to receive other sacraments.

It takes maybe 3 months (classes are once a week). You go over things like the Sacraments, the order of the mass, prayer in daily life, some church history and some history on important figures in the bible. Mine even included some history on Judaism. At the end of the class, you are Confirmed in the Catholic church during a special mass.

Mark i can't communicate for the RCIA instructions yet i could think of you could desire to in all probability manage to be Baptized until now leaving.however the important element to remember is out area of a few kookier left wing church homes interior the Catholic faith all of us communicate with one voice. One Lord one faith one Baptism. Our lots and teachings do no longer evolve around one man or woman's ideals or character including Protestant church homes. So outdoors of language distinction i think you could have no project winding up your RCIA instructions everywhere interior the international.
