Pharmacological industries? Or do you mean pharmaceutical industry?

I worked for a major drug company in production in the 1980s. Never did anyone mention drinking cow's milk. My guess is someone mistakenly believes that ingesting milk will absorb potential toxins. In theory, this sounds plausible since milk contains a number of toxins "absorbed" from the cow's diet. This "absorption" is more rightly called secreted. The cow's mammary glands secrete toxins ingested in the cow's diet.

Milk ingested by a human would not absorb toxins from the body - how could it? Milk is digested (by those not allergic) rather well, although not as well as human milk. Cow's milk is best reserved for calves, not humans.

There are a number of "anti-cow's milk" websites. Some of the info presented is accurate, but some sounds a little far-fetched by people with an agenda other than evidence-based science. The dairy industry makes claims otherwise. Yet 70% of the world's population never ingests cow's milk, so the nutrients contained in cow's milk (such as calcium) is obtained from other sources. Plus these people in other countries aren't eating or drinking things that leech out calcium, like caffeine or alcohol, etc.

Check out the websites and make your own decision.
