The only translation that has no relation to the rest is the New World Translation and that one is not used by anyone except Jehovah's Witnesses. I won't attempt to speak for Baptists and what they use, but i do know that any other English language translation i have seen uses the same original source materials and in my opinion are all good translations.

I am not a baptist, but from what I've seen (online sources, etc.), Baptists typically go with the Authorized 1611 King James Version(KJV) of the Bible, which, although I'm not a Baptist, also happens to be my only Bible of choice. :)

Not that I know of. The NIV is probably the most popular. Many have stayed with the KJV.
Baptist congregations have a great deal of autonomy, so each could choose rather than a mandate from the national organization.

You can't get an official party line,so to speak, about what the Baptist denomination as a whole prefers.Baptists are autonomous.
You will get different opinions from many different Baptists. There is nothing wrong with that.

No, as an ex-Baptists, generally churches select whatever version the preacher desires and then they all go (more or less) by that version.

No. Some churches, out of convenience, defer to the version used by their pastor. But most versions are reputable.

Usually they refer to the KJV or the NKJV but Pastors are free to use whatever version suits their method of teaching best.

It really depends on the local congregation. I have quite a few versions and use them all.

Churches usually do. The different denominations. I have been faced with that many times.
