The world is running out of oil, and we must find renewable alternatives, but what else do we use which is eventually going to run out? Your car, for instance. Is there anything at all in that car which is renewable, noting that even tyres are made from plastics? Not recyclable, but re-growable, sustainably. Anything?

Aprox 70% of a car is renewable.
All metal parts when separated into their respective groups i.e. Aluminium, Steel and so on.can be mlted down and reused.
Plastics and wiring can be recycled.
Glass can be melted and reformed.
And so on and os on.
Only a few parts at the moment can't be recycled, but I'm sure that one day someone will be able to find a way to recycle and reuse these otherwise unusable parts.
A good question, it should get the scientists thinking.

U are wrong all fossil fuels are renewable . When the plants recycle our air the plants hold on to the C of the CO2 . That C is is in the leaves which go down the river to the delta where it deteriorates into gas ,oil, and after a long time coal. We should be using our coal before it oxidizes from old age.

Obviously, you've never been around many salvage yards. About 90% of an automobile is renewable. They crush them and melt them down.
