I need help but I dont know where to begin, I've been suffering from panic attacks and stress for the past 4 months now. I've been to the hospital twice now once in January the other in februray. They did the tests on my heart came back clean yet its still bugging me to death. My chest still hurts daily more then likely from over doing it at work, I've learned to accept that, and the heart flutters, and racing heart beat when I panic.Yet the fear stays with me. I really need help mentally I realize that but I dont make enough money to afford it, I barely make enough to get by as is,I make on average under 12,000 dollars a year, and I dont have insurance. Is there anything I can do to get some help to deal with this in my situation?

I too, suffer from panic attacks. I start shaking and more heart is racing. I hate the fact that I have to use medication to treat this, but without the xanex i dont think i could handle the stress. As far as affording treatment, I know that each town has a local clinic and work on a sliding scale fee according to your salary. At my clinic, i have found the doctors to be better than most private physicians. I do not have to pay anything when I go to the clinic. They may also be able to supply the medication as well if you cannot afford the prescription. good luck to you and dont give up, there is help out there...

You might have hypochondria if you freak out every time you have any kind of pain. And due to the hypochondria, you're stressing yourself out and having the anxiety attacks. It's important for you to go and explain your fears about having cancer to your doctor. He can reassure you that you're perfectly healthy and even set you up with a therapist to help you work through your anxiety if necessary. I get anxiety attacks too (for different reasons). It's important to realize that the stress your body goes through when you have one is most likely much less healthy for you than whatever minor pain you're panicking about. You're doing the worst thing possible to feed that fear as well. Cancer presents with pain but pain rarely indicates cancer. Looking up pain online is of course going to give you cancer results but there are also a thousand other possible things, most as minor as maybe a pulled muscle or a mild sprain. Stop relying on the internet to self-diagnose yourself and talk to your doctor if you are really concerned. At least that way you'll get real information that can put your mind at ease instead of making your anxiety worse.

I have a couple of suggestions
do a net search of st. johns wort
sometimes this herb in small amounts can help to lesson anxiety and depression...(talk to someone in your nearest health food store)
Talk to people who may know a little bit about anxiety and depression or who can just lend you an ear from time to time. I go to college (older returning student, after I have raised my children to almost adulthood) for psychology. I am a holistic practitioner and archangel/goddess card reader, but I also council those who seek me out. If you would like to send me a letter, feel free, I will help all that I can. If you would like some holistic/natural ways that might reduce stress I would suggest meditation and being out in nature as much as possible.
you can check my website out at www.lavendermistdreams.com if you would like as I believe there are also other spiritual ways such as color and crystal, to deal with illness and (dis)ease and imbalance.

Yes, help is available. Just get Rescue Remedy (a Bach Flower Essence mixture) available from many healthfood stores or can be ordered online and try it as per the instructions on the bottle.

To know more about Bach Flower Essences, go to the free, online course at:

http://floweressencesintro.onlinecourse.com/

Another free option for you is to join the yahoo group, Reiki_Path and request for free Reiki. It helps you.

I am offering right now Reiki as a free gift from my side. Pl. accept. Learn to relax by deep breathing.

I don't know who did the tests on you, but any competent doctor would have already prescribed an anti-anxiety medication. Stress can kill you.
