Of course we should be allowed to criticize and debate other people's religions and faiths, but only as long as it is an informed and educated criticism, opinion - which has been made with some knowledge and research about the subject.

I think being in an open world and everybody is learning we should question and not criticise other religions. The idea of wanting to know more by questioning should be for that religion to open up and give an insight in what it stands for. From this we will be able to compare and contrast between the many religions which are claiming to do so many things and be able to arrive at some reasonable religion acceptable to all, not because somebodies descendants practised it.

While you have the right to criticize other people's religions, we should always be careful about our approach and our words and we should definately consider our reason for being critical. I have not problem hearing criticism when it relates directly to religion being misused to cause harm. Thus if one is criticizing in the hopes of getting the followers of a religion to realize that they are not reflecting their own teachings and to bring awareness to them so that they can then realign themselves, then it is criticism worth making. However if the criticism is only to rant about all the things you do not believe in anyways, then I think this is unconstructive. Thus if the criticism is constructive then I see nothing wrong with it.

Religion is very precious to people. If you criticize their religion they will go on the defensive. So, what do you gain by criticizing their religion?

The better way is to share the positives of your faith, which then might make them question their own.

Look what the city clerk said in Acts about Paul and his companions during the great riot: " You have brought these men here, though they have neither robbed temples nor blasphemed our goddess."

The truth of your faith may offend others, but that's different from criticizing their faith.

Sure, you're allowed, freedom of speech. Criticize away, it makes you look bad hateful and rude, and usually criticism is meant to offend.
And if you insist on criticism, expect it back, and respond with more than "Oh you're just a devil worshiper and don't know it."
And above all KNOW your religion AND the religion of the one your criticizing, If you don't even know how many countries your bible came from or how long it took to compose, maybe it's better to be quiet...

R-E-S-P-E-C-T others as you would want others to respect you. Religions are merely a reflection of man's denial to death and every group thinks that their own religion is THE religion. There are so many of them that criticism is useless. Why offend other people's beliefs? That's not going to change anything.
"My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness" (The Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibet). Criticise that!

it's ok to give constructive criticism after educating ourselves first. Every religion has good in them.
I find many just want to bash and put others down because the person who's doing it has an ego issue

people can say what they want about a religion as we are allowed to have our own opinion, as long as we don't physically hurt someone because of what they believe in that's okay
to have a religion which is gonna affect what people think and is different from what others may believe there's bound to be someone to disagree
and besides, a religion that ain't different from all the others isn't a religion

not really. I take the attitude that I can't be bothered. If someone wants to worship the little Green, one- eyed God from Zanzibar, who cares, as long as he isn't hurting anyone while he's doing it! Frankly, I don't care what others believe. I'm not saying I hate them, or wish them any ill, I am just totally indifferent. I know what I believe, that is all that matters to me. If more of us understood this and respected it, perhaps there would be alot less strife in the world.
