These pains are like getting jagged with a needle or something sharp. What could it be?

If its a sharp pain like intense pins and needles but localised dont panic, how have you been sitting. It sounds like a circulatory problem. When blood flow is restricted your blood vessels cinstrict due to the internal pressure of your organs, muscles etc. The pain you feel with pins and needles is , as the blood fills the constricted arteries or veins , they stretch causing pins and needle like pain, the severity varying with length of time the constriction has lasted. If you are short of breath as well then you need to sit down have the phone nearby and monitor your situation then if it becomes a chest pain lasting more than 5 min (give it no longer) then get an ambulance. Make sure you give the address . Most of all dont panic do what you need to do. If its a heart attack you will be very short of breath, may feel aching in the jaw and throat, aching all the way through your torso and depending on the severity maybe down both arms. Relax the best you can, if you need an ambulance and youve called it then no matter what , they are on their way.

This depends. I am certainly no doctor, but from time to time I have had the same kind of pain (from what it sounds like). I have figured out that my problem was lack of potassium or I was dehydrated.
Drink lots of water and eat potatoes and bananas!!
Have you experienced any cramps in your muscles?
Potassium is good for your intracellular functions in your body and therefore you experience sharp pains. It feels to me like nerve pain but i'm not sure if this is what you're experiencing. Hope this helps, at least a little,

This sounds like something related to your nerves. I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to find out what could be causing this.
