Jesus said, "by their fruits ye shall know them." No one has to point them out. The signs are obvious.

It is also said that we will be hated because of His name. Sorry to inform you but there are false Christians and there are true Christians. The difference is that True Christians follow the true word of God as it is written and don't add and sugar coat words to please others. The truth is the best way. Before I was saved, the truth really did hurt, but I now know the truth and love it! Now a False Christian is one who goes to church on Sunday but lives like the devil the rest of the week, and engage in lust and all kinds of sin but think their religion will save them, which it won't. They often follow false teachings that are not Biblical or even written in the Bible.
A true born again Christian does not get offended when another born again tells them something they did wrong, but a false Christian will. In fact it will anger a false Christian to no end! There are people here who say you will know a Christian by their fruit and they are correct. Anyone who lies does not bear good fruit.
Why would anyone want to ask a question and want to get a sugar coated lie for an answer to make the flesh feel good instead of a true answer that might hurt and convict them and possibly make them change whatever it is they are doing so they don't sin?
It is not what we say or think, or what we want to believe, but it is what the Bible says is true! God's words! Not mine!

John 4:23
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. NIV

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. KJV

Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. NWT

Obviously Jesus Christ made a distinction between true and false worshipers. When I use the term 'true Christians' I do not do it out of arrogance. When replying to a question, I am aware that not all who claim to be Christians live a Christian life. Non-Christians tend to point to these as examples of Christianity. So when i say for example that true Christians show love for their neighbors, I mean to stop the mouths of those who would point to those who anything but loving and saying "well see, Christians aren't loving at all." True Christians are indeed loving.

You do not still understand what is a true christian . You are still learning little by little about the world true christian or not true christian and more and more about religion. You are still very young to analize the true meaning of the word.

True Christian is man engage on christianity and who acts as the true believer of Jesus Christ. True christians are true believers and followers of Christ. To clear you on this term very will, a true christian follows all the teachings of Jesus Christ in the bible which is in the New Testament. The teaching of Jesus or law of Jesus are basis to follow to prove that you are a Christian, a true christian man.

Not all religions belong to a true christian. They don't follow some of the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament like the drinking of liqour or wine, the smoking of cigarettes, the dressing for women, the cutting of the hair of women, the wearing of pants on women, the attitude and character of a true christian man, the acts of a christian man, the voluntary contribution as member of such religion which is any amount given voluntarily and not of the 10% asked by this religious groups to give for the church which is only address to the Israelites.,eating of pig is not prohibited to a true christian and many others.

Don't you know that there are many christian religions who are killers of men, robbers, adulterers, and many others? which are not true Christians and are false Christian people?

jtm.

I think the reason some people use that term is because there are so many people running around calling themselves Christians, yet they deny even the most basic tenets of the Christian faith.

Not all who claim to be Christian truly are, and it is their false claim that misrepresents Christianity as a whole. No wonder there is so much confusion out there.

If you claim to be a Christian, then shouldn't your belief be grounded in solid, Biblical doctrine?

You have managed to stir up a lot of people.
To me a true christian is one that regardless of which denomination you come from believes in god & shows gods love to every person by just being them. no preaching etc, why do you think the people flocked to christ in the first place. what was it he actually showed people. It is your actions as well as your words that show true christianity not the faith you profess.

Okay, what, so when those sickos over at godhatesfaggots.com say that they are "true Christians," which they are NOT, I'm not allowed to call them down for it? No way.

There are "Christians," and then there are CHRISTIANS. The other two guys are right, you will know them by their fruits.

Have a sugar cookie, fresh from the oven.

You do make a good point. Although there are a few signs of genuine faith, "love one another", "know them by their fruits" so many of the details are part of an individual's realtionship with God, and should not be judged.

And a "true Christian" should know that.....

it seems that Jesus himself makes a clear distinction between the "many" false christians and the "few" true Christians at Matthew 7:13-23

A true Christian is like bigfoot.

Just when you think you found one it turns out to be a man in a monkey suit!
