Ohmigod, what the h**l is a spoodle (apart from the poodle bit)?? I can't believe people actually get away with charging good money for crossbreeds by giving them silly names. Please adopt a nice dog that needs a loving home from your local shelter. You might save it from being put down. If you go down the route you're thinking of you'll waste loads of money on an animal that's been irresponsibly bred and could easily be diseased.

HELLO FOLKS!!! spoodle is a common abbreviation for STANDARD POODLE . A well respected a very established breed.
Height is over 15 inches most are well over 20 inches at the withers.
weight is bout 40- 60 lbs
A few are timid but most are close to being a lab in a curly coat - though most have more of a sense of humor.
Biggest negative is coat care is time consuming/expensive. However be careful to look for a good breeder - heath problems are comon in this breed.

If you want a cross-breed, a.k.a MUTT, go to the pound. There is no reason to pay a "breeder" for such a dog. No responsible breeder would allow such breeding, which means you are getting a subpar dog for all that money. The cross is not an actual breed, there is no standard, and there is no way to know what traits your particular pup will inherit. An even bigger problem is that cocker spaniels recently experienced a surge in popularity, leading to many bad breeders using unsuitable dogs. There are many cockers out there that should have never been and they are the ones most likely to be used to breed a designer dog. Badly breed cockers are almost guaranteed to have many, many eye problems. So you will most likely either have a blind dog or spend thousands having its eyes fixed and don't think the breeder is going to refund your money. Bottom line: Do NOT buy a MUTT.

Elena and Floren are right sadly but if you have your heart set on one just be sure to go into it with your eyes open. Be sceptical when the 'breeder' promises you all sorts of things like an intelligent, fantastically healthy dog or a 100% non-shedder/non-allergy. They are, after all, trying to sell you something.
I volunteer in animal rescue and see too many poodle crosses come in, and they are beautiful dogs but obviously haven't lived up to the promises. .
Anyway, your questions: Size and Weight: Because they are cross breeds its a matter of genetics and how far back the cross breeding line goes and what breeds are (truthfully) involved as to what size you'll get. Negatives: Grooming seems to be a lot for some people to handle and it can add up cost-wise over the years. A neglected unclipped poodle or poodle cross is a very sad sight. Some have their ears matted to their face or are unable to toilet without it getting stuck to them. Personality traits: I am biased! :o) ALL dogs are lovely and in the long run you get out what you are prepared to put in.
You probably need to work out what your own needs are first before you choose a breed. How much exercise can you provide? - Do you have or are you planning kids? - Do you work full time? - Do you have the funds to pay a groomer to clip every six weeks for 15 or more years? And will it bother you if your new dog doesn't live up to all the promises?
Best of luck.
I'd also like to ask you to consider a shelter dog too. You'd be surprised what treasures people discard. :o(

Hi there,
You should know that this is what they call a designer dog not a recognized breed by the AKC so you will not be able to compete in anything with it if you wish in that format.
Their are several new breeds of designer dogs out there now. All that they really are is some persons idea of, i wonder What we will get if we breed these 2 breeds of dogs together?
well all I can say is that this has become quite the scam with folks out there asking more for these types of dogs than the real pure breeds .
What a joke!
I recommend that you don`t get sucked into this unless you have actually researched the breed to see if they are a healthy breed.
If this is a new type i would suggest you stay away before you spend thousands on what probably is just a fad that will more than likely disappear in time.

Instead of looking for a "SPOODLE", go to your local shelter and ADOPT a MUTT! Don't support backyard breeders breeding MUTTS. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SPOODLE! Why would you want to pay a worthless, un-ethical backyard breeder $600 for a mutt (that DOES shed) when you can pay a deserving shelter $50 for a mutt?

any hybrid will have the problems of its parents, sadly they are the exacerbated when mated, so if one dog has 10 problems another 4 the reality is likely to be 30 problems due to recessive genes, dont be daft get an established purebreed even from a shelter.
Labradoodles are now one of the more popular dogs seen in shelters worldwide!!!!!!
