It used to be quite popular in the UK during the '50s and '60s, but you seldom see them in the supermarkets anymore.

I used to love eating rabbit pie as a small kid, how about you?

Rabbit and squirrel were some favorites of mine growing up on a farm. Hunting with my dad and brother for them was hard for me because I had a hard time being quiet!

My grandma made an awesome rabbit gravy and squirrel gravy. Make up some homemade biscuits and you had a meal fit for a king (queen as the case may be)!!

I've never had rabbit pie. But yes I have had rabbit stew as a child. Here in australia, some butchers still sell rabbit and its not that expensive.

The first time I encountered rabbit it was in a cafeteria line and fried and breaded and I thought it was chicken.

When I asked for a wing I found out what it was.

I did eat it, but definitely preferred the roast beef.

I couldnt make myself eat rabbit. The bunnies are so darn adorable. The look in their eyes made me sad always.. We had a white rabbit pet that we leave to roam outside our house. One day he was missing. Somebody must have made a stew out of him. :X

I used to have chicken pet too. He comes running whenever i call him. But one day he too went missing. :(

Love it!!!....mix it with some tree rat (squirrel) and you've got the best BBQ you ever ate!! I also eat deer meat....wild meat is leaner and healthier than what you buy in the grocery store...no added hormones and preservatives....just fresh meat....you have to know how to prepare it though.... and COUNTRY FOLKS CAN SURVIVE!!
