the last five times I've been fishing I haven't gotten even a bite. I've used worms on a bobber, spinners, shallow crankbaits, deep diving crankbaits, spoons, and jigs. what the hell is my problem?

This time of year there are two areas to focus on for catching bass, it sounds like that may be what you are looking for..
1) Areas where fish are spawning.
A Texas rigged worm or lizard is hard to beat for bed fishing. Either pitch your bait quietly onto the beds or cast past it and reel up to and drop your bait there. Use enough weight to keep the bait on the bed and work it in place with short hops.
2) Staging areas adjacent to spawning areas.
Try Carolina rigging a 6" zoom lizard and fish it around rocky points or ledges having trees or brush. If you can locate any large grassy flats burn a lipless crankbait right over the tops of the grass and weeds and you will either start catching fish or eliminating unproductive water. You might try a topwater bait or buzzbait early in the day and get bit.
Good luck.

In a fresh water lake, if you're going for crappie and bass, use live minnows/shiners. Crappie and bass love them.
If you wish to use lures/artificial baits, it's still early in the season so the water is not warm enough for the fish to be really aggressive yet so try using a carolina rigged worm. A slow presentation is a must at this time of year.
Soon the bass and crappie will be moving to their spawning beds. They will aggressively defend their beds so anything should work then.
Also, look for structure. Fish love structure. Crappie will hold over brush piles. Fish along the bank under trees, marinas, etc. The fish will move to the shallow water as it warms up during the day.

A Wacky Worm fished in tree top or brush can be good early and late in the day. While the sun is high try using a Texas rig or jig and pig in the same type of cover. A slow vertical presentation is what you are wanting for catching bass.

Me too. At least it's nice outside. Only luck I've had is with lizard. I guess fish think it's worm. I've found standing back from edge of water helps. Caught 2 trees, me 7 times, scared 89 ducks, 2 geese, and a baby in a stroller.

ITs really hard to answer.....all depends on water temp, color, water clarity, time of day.....This early in the year it can be a little tougher, they move a little more and the water temps vary depending on location and depth.....It might be a little early yet to really get into crappie....where I am we are hitting walleye hard and in about a week or so the bass and wipers will pick up followed by the crappie shortly after.....but I don't know where you are so it hard to say.

If you're using live bait, it needs to be presented as naturally as possible. The more natural the presentation, the more bites. Check out this site for more info, good luck!

in the south right now some fish are spawning and others are in post spawn to find spawners are in the shallows around grassy areas and on the edge of boat docks spawners are hard to catch because they won't always inhale the lure they will fan it or push it off their bed
post spawners are on deep water structure and remeber to fish S-L-O-W
