I think it was Roosevelt that said speak softly and carry a big stick however thanks to the state that our beloved government have sold out our magnificent armed forces .Tony is now a speak loudly and carry a tiny stick chap.
His lasting present to us will be that they drop the Great out of GREAT BRITAIN as he may offend some tin pot tophat.

Firstly, Iran is hardly tin pot! They have a well armed military force and they are crazy enough to use them. Don't you think the UK and it's allies are more than stretched in other parts of the world at the moment to go and pick a new fight.
I agree with you that something has to be done about these marines release and while its tempting to go and kick some Iranian @rse, the cons far outweigh the pros.
I reckon they'll all be out within the next few weeks. Iran wants to make a point thats all.

I am left sitting here with my mouth hanging open. Not a pretty sight!
You want to put the lives of soldiers, sailors and civilians at risk because diplomacy takes a while longer?
So what if they kidnapped them unlawfully? They are not seriously mistreating them and the kidnap victims are from Britain's armed forces so they are not exactly babes in arms.
It is all a game and thank goodness the powers that be in Britain have realised how to play it the Iranian way.
This time next year, you won't remember it having happened. The families will have long had their family members back and no one will be dead.
And just what is wrong with that scenario?
National pride be dammed. Give me life over pointless valour any day!

I agree. Its about time we started to show these muppets that an attack on British people is like an attack on Britain itself.
The British government has an obligation to protect its troops abroad and its about time we did something. This whole debacle is just a propaganda stunt for the Iranian government.
We should set them a deadline and then if they dont comply we should try to extract them with the SAS. I am sure they would be only too happy to kick some ***!
The Iranian dictator has been causing international unrest for too long - its time to do something about him.

Hey. You must be a young man who has never seen or tasted the blood of war. Otherwise you would be tuned to the channel us radicals are. If want to die, join up now. The Theater is being set up and next show is about to start. What is it with war mongers? Its my tax dollars that are spent for the crusade i do not approve.
On April 15Th, As way of protest those of us who are against the crusade deny the feds our taxes that are used to invade sovereign nations who by all rights have the right to exist as one. If they do not want the Zionists to live nearby does not give anyone any right to invade them. Aside from that 1000 hydrogen bombs in the Zionist arsenal would be a very big surprise to any aggressors to those who invade their ever so sacred land. The time is coming around to the people of this country,it will be us who will become the terrorists in keeping our land Sovereign.

Send in the SAS? Another Sun-reading funguy! What's with all this 'extract' - I'll tell you what Iranians will do, they will heat up the situation between the east and the west, and while certain morons will have orgasms, it will not last...asking 'politley' as you put it takes time to ensure the release of (as I'm sure you'd put it) 'our boys' (and girls). Trumped up charg(i)es? Oh yes - the cleanest of clean Britons (as you think we are) never do that, do we...especially not to our own, hmm?

And let them kick start Bush's next middle east blood bath adventure - which he really has been itching for? With Britain already dragged in by the back heels, because obviously we'd certainly be (reluctantly, because ministers know Iraq has been chaotic disaster, illegal campaign) involved.
Why'd you think Bliar has been so cautious? Iran knew capturing british rather than US would make provacation appear less hostile to rest of globe, and lean abit more sympathy towards Iranians - which it has.

This can be done peacefully, by using force were playing their game.
It's all staged anyway, it's a huge propergander and media war.
It's a small world and we dont have the time to fight right now there is a matter of keeping this planet alive!!!!
