You want us to download an unknown EXE? You know what kind of security risk that posts for us?

In general, these are known as "demos", are are usually CUSTOM CODED in assembly, in order to squeeze maximum about of performance into every byte. It's probably some some sort of self-compression that uncompresses itself into memory THEN continues to run.

For fun, here's a blog entry about the smallest 3D shooter available, called .kkrieger, at only 96KB. It is a full 3D shooter with textures, full 3D movement, and stuff.

That file is a demo scene file. Those are usually programmed in C or C++ using assembly when need, or just pure assembly. Sometimes other languages are used, but this is rare. Since the file you submitted is 64KB, it is highly unlikely that it is programmed in anything other than C, C++, or assembly. Demo files are also usually packed with some type of packer. In this case the file was packed using UPX. The file you uploaded uses DirectX to display the graphics and play the sound. Some demos use OpenGL instead of DirectX.

I searched around for a and found a good FAQ that should answer any questions you might have about demos.
