it is like limewire but I was wondering if it was worth my time or should i stick with limewire

Nothing wrong with running more than one P2P client at a time.

Ares used to be on Gnutella network, but switched to their own stuff. Supposedly it can go through some network blockers, but it's not impossible to block. It will also act as BitTorrent client.

If you want multi-protocol support, try Shareaza, which is Gnutella, Gnutella2, and eDonkey (and also BitTorrent) altogether in one program. In contrast, Limewire is Gnutella only.

I suggest reading this limewire review...it is short and to the point

stick with limewire

i use ares all the time, not near as many virus's as limewire

First of all get away from limewire. Full of spyware and adware. I would use bittorrent or utorrent. Way better!!
