The members of the Roman Catholic Church are the only Christian religion who believed on Holy days like the alleged holy week or easter week, christmas day, All saint s day, all souls day and all holy days on t he Roman Calendar which is being used today mostly entire the world. This holydays are not on t he bible but are only teaching s and doctrines of the Catholic Church who was the first to teach their r eligion by force to human beings during the olden days. During the olden days of the catholics, you will be killed if you will not believe them. And this is the reason why many people were lost on belief.
Other christian relkigion do not believe those teachings of the Roman catholics because it is not appearing on the bible. Our basis of belief is the bible, not on the doctrines of the catholics.

For the person who said we claim Halloween as All Saints Day, that's because it is closer to the true birthday of Jesus than Christmas is. There is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas though. Jesus called Himself a great fir tree. I put one up and celebrate every year and yet I can document the birthdate as being in the fall. As far as Easter goes... yes, it is a pagan holiday but most people who truly love The Lord still don't know that because Ishtar, which is the real Easter celebration is relatively close to Passover which is what I celebrate. Some people think that Easter is truth because it's mistranslated, ( only once ), in the new testament. A sin done in ignorance is not a sin.

The word holiday was derived from "holy day".
Christmas is Christ's Mass -a celebration of the birth of Jesus who in all probability was born on a day other than December 25th.
When Christians celebrate what the world calls "Easter", they are actually celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
The name "Halloween" comes from All Hallows Eve or the night before All Saints Day.
The Dec. 25th date, the bunny and the egg, the jack-o-lanterns, ghouls, witches and goblins are all pagan. Medieval Christians co-opted the days and some of the practices of the pagan culture, Christianizing them.
So what? Secular people have taken Christian celebrations and removed the religious elements- people celebrate Festivus or the Winter Holiday, singing about Frosty the Snowman, St. Valentine's Day is about chocolate and flowers, St. Patrick's Day is about drinking green beer.

Easter is actually found in the Bible. "And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people." Acts 12:4 KJV
Easter is the day that Christians an much of the rest of the world celebrates the day that Jesus Christ demonstrated his true divinity by rising from the dead. His resurrection gives those of us that have faith in Him hope that we too will rise again one day because He said we would.
Christmas is the day set aside to celebrate His Birth. We are more certain about the time of His resurrection that we are about the time of His birth as far as the time of year. There is nothing sacred about December 25th. What is sacred is the remembrance of His Birth.
Jesus Himself never actually told us to remember His birth. However, He did tell us to remember His death and subsequent resurrection.
And, No, we don't ever try to claim Halloween.

For your information Christmas and Easter are Christian holidays, you Atheists, pagans etc are just jealous because we have the most celebrated holiday in the world. Halloween is just a satanic-type holiday, I as a Christian celebrate it. But Christmas and Easter did originated from pagan beliefs, we adapted them as Christian holidays, so they're officially ours and people of any religions are FREE to celebrate them, though they must remember Jesus.

To make them appeal to the Romans. Easter- eggs. Fertility. Close enough to the time of Jesus getting killed. Same crap with Christmas and winter solstice.
Oh yeah. Way back when, I really wouldn't have doubted they claimed Halloween, too. It was also near/on aPagan event, and if I remember correctly, it was the christian "Vigil of All Saints."
Kind of makes me want to invent my own religious holidays based off of those.

What else would Christmas be about? It's a Christian holiday celebrating the birth of Christ. And Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Christ. They were made for Christians, by Christians.
No, we make no claim to Halloween. That is definitely not a Christian holiday.
Thanks for the two-points.

Because for them, they *are* about Jesus.
And yes, Halloween is derived from "All Hallow's Eve," a medieval Catholic attempt to replace Samhain with a celebration of the Saints. Now there are attempts at something called "Reformation Day" for Protestants.
