There are rules about how much facial hair you are allowed to have when you work with food, but if you cry religion then you can have a 5 foot long beard and no one can say anything?
Does having a beard for religious reasons stop the hair from falling into food?

Also, if religion is all about spirituality, then why does it matter if you have a beard? Will you be punished by your respective God if you don't have a beard? It seems like a pretty ridiculous requirement.

No but, what does hair on the face have anything to do with religion?
Hair has nothing to do with reading the bible....

Just like there are gloves for hands, and hairnets, there are ways to hygenically contain beards. If there is an uncontained 5 foot beard, the problem is not with the beard owner, but the lack of standards of the person who hired him. Hand washing is probaby not a high priority either.

No, but there are covers for the beard same as the hair, and frankly, unless there is a valid safety reason, hair length anyplace on the body should not be a concern of an employer..

... they can't say anything, as long as the facial hair has appropriate covering. the people who make hair nets that food workers wear also make beard nets.
it really is funny when anti-religion people think even less than the fanatically religious people do.

They actually have the equivalent of hair nets for facial hair. They are very strange looking, but restaurants can make employees wear them if they have long facial hair that they can't cut for religious reasons.

No, but a beard-net can help. And I've seen quite a few of those.

facial hair for religious reason of showing one's humility would not explain anything if i find my food tainted with it. hair in the food is hair in the food. it is not acceptable by any decent standards. shave your facial hair then prepare food that not only nourish the physical well-being but also feeds the spirit.

It would be no problem to keep your beard if you look for a job in a Muslim F&B outlet.
