Would strongly recommend you obtain current editions of both Harrison's and Cecil and Loeb. You will use them constantly for the next three to four years, no matter what specialty you go into. The question of purchase vs. library vs. share is another issue. If you are not thrilled with the cost of these works, you might consider using SAM, buying the online version. It is an excellent resource, as well. These three works are all of the same order in quality. There is a lot of arguement which is the "best". They all have more information than you can possibly absorb in three years. Harrison's and Cecil and Loeb are updated every two to three years, on a rotating cycle. SAM is updated continuouosly. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Personally, I prefer Cecil and Loeb.

Latest is always the best. But earlier editions give a good foundation in the subject. You can certainly study 13th edition with nearly similar use. Moreover Harrison`s is an edited multi author book and the contributers are the same for each chapter in all editions. Only when a contributor dies or leaves does someone else contributes the chapter. You can refer to 16th edition in a llibrary.

if you're a clinical student you elect a good inner med e book so that you may want to suck it up and pay up (that's area of the cost of med college). or you are able to attempt ebay it extremely is the position i purchased maximum of my clinical texts (used). those books are very expensive so anticipate to pay a outstanding quantity even for used books and do not ignore delivery it extremely is an further fee. also you are able to contact someone from a senior type who would nicely be prepared to lend you the e book or promote it low priced.

Get the lastest. Anatomy doesn't change much (except when they decide to change the names) from year to year, but internal medicine does.
