We have laws letting in a million immigrants legally every year, and more on temporary visas. We can do without ILLEGAL immigrants who would be let in legally if they were the kind we wanted and not above the numbers we wanted (as a country not as slave wage hiring employers.)

They can't pay their way in taxes because they are too poor, and their sheer numbers are ruining our schools for our own children and their unprovable income is draining our services and closing our hospital doors for our own.

Why on earth would we want more of that?

There are enough people here in this country as it is, although it is based on immigration, immigrants have the right to move here and have a better life it is just the Illegals that are taking up jobs and not putting money back into the economy and using government funds that are allotted to citizen's for health care and education that we can do without. It needs to be a felony to hire or house and illegal alien. If one does it is harboring a fugitive. That should be a felony.

We are fine with the legal ones because we control the flow of them into this Country.
It is the illegal ones who are taxing our system and putting a strain on our economy. And the illegals are the ones we can do without.

If we only had legal immigrants with all the rights of citizens, we would not survive economically.

Yes we could manage without immigrants, but that's not really the question. It's the criminal immigrants that are the primary problem, although we do allow far to much legal immigration as well.

Immigrants (by definition - those LEGALLY entering our nation), well, honestly, our country would definitely be a much more boring place without all they add to our great nation.

No, I agree - Immigrants are a major contribution to our economy and society. Not counting illegal immigrants, though. Illegal immigrants are NOT beneficial to our country in any way, shape, or form.

Immigrants are fine and welcome by most Americans...it's the illegal ones that aren't welcome. I would prefer educated people who have worked and studied hard....but they can't get in because too many people who have little to no education, or skills do. Most estimates say the illegal immigrants take $5,000 a year more out of the system than they put in....so how bad do we need them again?
Oh yeah, my wife is Mexican and my mother is a (legal) immigrant.
