Yes, I do enjoy learning about other things that what I only learned growing up.
I definitely wonder what is and isn't important in our lives. Yes, I would be willing to vastly change my beliefs if I found another truth elsewhere.
There are so many things going on in my life and it is so hard sometimes to sort them all out and have time for them all. Sometimes I really wish I had more time to read and learn more and apply some of the things I read that I find to ring true.
Thank you for a thought-provoking question. It is a nice diversion from some of this silly stuff on here!

Good question. Think about this. We were created to live on the earth. We have had some troubles but God will sort these out at Armageddon [ promised] Adam and Eve sinned/disobeyed and caused death. Jesus paid the price with his life to 'remove' death...after Armageddon/. So without death we who survive will live forever...still in the flesh.
Now God also created the stars. hot things. But stars like our sun have planets. And we know from experience that planets can support life. So with billions of stars, it is logical to think of billions of planets. If ours can support life, why not others.
But wait a minute...Jesus died once for all time for us. And He is the ONLY SON of THE ONLY GOD.
He did not do this for anybody else./
So this fact precludes other intelligent life in the whole vast COSMOS.
but this fact does not include animals.
THEY could be throughout the universe.
Only MAN is exclusive, and at the moment, to earth.
So WHY did God create the planets around the stars in the universe???
Could it be that we have to learn to look after THIS planet Earth FIRST...before He allows us...OUT THERE????

Yes I do this all the time. It is the only way to insure continual growth. I used to get a kick out of my mother when I would talk to her about spiritual and philosophical questions. She used to tell me all she needed was in the bible. I said oh really? Then why send me to college and learn other things if I am supposed to ignore what I learn?
People are afraid of changes but I embrace them. Even now that world is changing very rapidly but the masses are trying to hold on the status quo. Even religion is being shaken to its core but the religious are trying their hardest to ignore that facts.
I have taken that time to learn so many different points of views. I absolutely enjoy hanging out with many different culture and seeing the world from their perspective. In 2008 if the world has not been thrown into a world war by our idiot president I plan on traveling to different places to hang out with the locals. I am sorry but I can't depend on our media to tell it like it is.
It is a sad day when you realize you understand more about the world than your parents. After all they were you God at one time. I also I out grew the bible as well.
We are headed into some interesting times.

I do study other religions from time to time, but only as an observer. The way I see it, there's only one truth, and we must each carefully examine to find it.
