Christians are given the short ends boths ways- Hollywood loves extremes. I can think no movies offhand where Christians are not portrayed as irrational, unreasonable and extreme.
At the same time, I can think of very few movies that a Christian can watch without having to expose themselves to uneccesary sex , violence and cursing.
I have given up expecting anything unbiased and worth the time and money from Hollywood.

Hollywood portrayal of Christians is pathetic. On crime shows they are shown as Bible thumping psychopaths. On the movies, same thing. Or, in many cases, they are shown as weaklings in the face of natural or man-made disasters, while the secular "hero" comes to the rescue.
No other religion is mocked and blasphemed more than Christianity. Hollywood could not write a script without blaspheming the name of God, or Jesus Christ. They know there will be little to no outrage from the Christian community. If they were to try that with Islam, the Muslims would burn Hollywood to the ground. Perhaps Christians ought to do the same thing, and maybe we would get more respect.

I would add to what you said...The world today is in Satans grasp. He controls everything just about, but certainly the movie industry. That is whay standards are dropping and immorality is rife on the screen.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
And in the movies, every time the subject of religion comes up, they ALWAYS show the Catholic faith. Sometimes the Jewish, but mainly Catholic.
With all its icons, crossing of the chest, etc, etc,
Seems like it is Satan's FAVOURITE religion.
And ALWAYS shown in a 'good' light.
Other religions, when shown, are ALWAYS denigrated.or made fun of.
another Satan ploy?

Absolutely! I think it's because Hollywood always has it's own idea what being a Christian is all about. It's not about thinking your better than everyone else. It's about being a loving, caring person, as was Christ. It's unfortunate they are portrayed that way, but then again, look at the source.

The media loves to perceive Christians in a bad light. But whatever. 99% of what you see on TV is garbage anyway. It's just a good baby sitter for kids whose parents are only thinking of themselves.
