Well, my bf is from different country and we will have to wait 1 year till we meet in real life. Any ideas of how to be a good online girlfriend ? :S

Probably the web cam thing is the best idea. Show him what he will get in a year if he can wait that long. The more you show him... the more likely he will wait. That's if you can convince him for a year that he's the only one you are showin'!

Well, it is no different than speaking in person...the only difference is you type instead of talk in person. I would be online when I said I would be and if for any reason I couldnt, than I would take a second or to to send an email explaining why I would not be online at that time. I am sure you know that when online there is always that possibility that the person you are chatting with is not what he seems to be, so it goes without saying...be careful. Other than that, enjoy your time together online, talk about what you like and what he likes, just get to know each other. You can learn a lot in a year.

No offense, but if you've never meet this guy don't wait around a year for some online romance. Find a real person near you that you can date. Or someone online that's near you that you can meet. How can you even call him your boyfriend if you've never actually met? Real people are way different than online people.

It would be very hard to be in an actual committed relationship with someone whom you have never even seen in person. People can be who ever they want to be one the Internet but may be totally different in person. You may not know what makes them mad, there real personality or anything. I hope it works out for the best but it will be very difficult.

Yes. Get a real boyfriend offline. Why do you have to wait 1 year? This seems like a big waste of time to me. What if he's not who he says he is? Now you've wasted a whole year.....

I wouldnt consider anything stronger than a penpal with anyone that you dont talk person to person, in living color. In that way, one is able to look into one's eyes, and consider body language. The only way to actually get to know a person is to spend time together. And even at that you can never be sure.

Stop being his girlfriend. that is doing him a huge favor. If you insist on being his GF then you will have to live with the fact that your fondness is largely false. Almost purely manufactured online.
