In the US Military, it is not necessary for you to seek a commission as an officer if you have a degree.

As a matter of fact, at least the Army has an option where you enlist at a higher enlisted pay grade with a Bachelor's (as an E-4) and you may qualify for a several thousand dollar enlistment bonus...

Yes you can. A college degree does not guarantee anyone to be a officer. You must attend basics & graduate Officers School to be an Officer. 20% of my son's class did not graduate & are not Officers now
You do realize that only a commissioned Officer can command. Enlsted Officers still report to even the lowest ranking commissioned officer.
All military personnel are important to the success of a mission. My son says his Staff Sgts are invaluable. My son got his 1st choice - Infantry.
Good luck with your miliary career.

You can still be an enlisted person. You just talk to the recruiter. Depending on how much college you have, you may qualify for a higher entry rank (more money from the beginning)

Good luck

yes you can, and you will not be alone. it is becoming more difficult to advance in the enlisted ranks without college, and a degree is just about needed to get above E-5

No, you can be enlisted. You should be able to go in at a higher rank too I believe. At least that's how it was back when I went through.

College grads are not required to be officers. You'd be smart to be one though 'cause officers don't do anything except sit around a try to look important, those in the combat arms being the exception.
