hi ... for the past couple of days i have felt like i have had acid reflux and have been throwing up blood. does anyone have any insight on what this could be?

If it is like brownish like coffee grounds, then it is coming from your stomach (digested blood)..ie an ulcer or tumor or something else??
If it is bright red, then it could be an esophageal varices (varicose vein in the throat that has broken open and is bleeding)..often due to alcoholism or possibly bulemia (constant vomiting damage to throat)??
In any case go to the ER ASAP...esp with bright red blood...but just to be safe with both kinds..go to ER...

You have acid reflux. When acid backs up into your esophagus, it can cause the burning sensation known as heartburn.
Acid reflux disease is a chronic condition and may lead to more serious medical conditions. Acid reflux can even wear away or erode the lining of your esophagus. Only a doctor can tell you if you have this damage. I suggest you see a doctor as soon as possible. Hope you feel better.

Like everyone else has said, please go to the ER. Don't waste time. You have something that is potentially very serious. Don't lay down flat (you run the risk of the blood getting into your lungs that way, then developing pneumonia).
Really, go to the ER, and if you don't have someone to drive you, call 911 and let them advise you. I would consider this an emergency situation. Good luck.

A lesion or ulcer in your esophagus or stomach. This is a potentially very serious, even life-threatening condition, especially since it has persisted for several days. You should see a doctor immediately.

an er visit asap(now)it could be a bleeding ulcer,esophagus problems etc.ifs its bright red no offense tis site is good ,but stop waiting for responses and seek medical attention NOW the ER.go there NOW good luck

You need to be in the ER.
It could be an ulcer or very bad irritation.
Sounds like you need an upper and lower GI.
I would go now.

Please go visit a doctor or the emergency room. It might be that acid reflux gone horribly wrong, and if you felt that your throat is burning, it might also had damaged your throat too.

go to the hospital the acid has damaged ur insides. if blood is comin out of any where that it shouldn't like ur mouth or ur azz, or ur genitalia go to the doctor and stop askin people on the computer. its ur health...be responsible!

Who cares what it is throwing up blood is a get your as$ to the emergency room as we humans are not supposed to do that. it is sending you a message- hey-we are unwell.

It could be an ulcer ( like a hole in your stomach ) that's what happened to my grandma she didn't go to the hospital fast and almost died!
