I have a question or two.. I've been with my boyfriend for over 4 years, and just recently we've established careers.. well he said he did want to get engaged once everything settled.. well lately he's been hiding text messages, and calls from me. He texts right in front of me but NEVER lets me see anything. He says it is a surprise and that I will really like it and that he's getting advice from his best friend on what to do. I keep bothering him about it because it makes me angry but he says "your going to ruin it... or why would i text another girl in front of you?"

On the flip side.. he says is scared that when everything settles down that I won't wanna move in with him but I tell him why wouldn't I after 4 years?

Anyway.. am I paranoid, or is he cheating?

Wow, these kind of guys are really something. You never knew what's going on with their head. Why won't you try bluffing him? Let's say do whatever he's doing and watch his reaction. Ask a guy friend, that he didn't know, to text you when you meet up with your boyfriend, and if he shows any signs of unreasonable questions, then you could do the same. This is a reverse psychology. But whatever happens, always trust your instincts. Most of the time, they never fail.

He doesn't have to show you everything, you know guys have the right to have a privatize. So he text in front of you, don't let it bother you because then it bother you the more he going to do it. You don't want to shack up before your married. Why don't you get some girl friends and rent your own place until you get married.

Sounds like something is going on...one minute he is telling you there is a surprise waiting and the next minute he is saying he is afraid that you will not want to move in with him. Sounds like you are getting played girl. Time for him to piss or get off the pot.

Let it go for awhile, see what happens. If it continues too long, however, I would start doing a bit of investigating. Don't keep hassling him about it until you feel that you have more evidence. You may just make him angry, then--no surprise!!
