Depends on the topic. I guess I keep my mouth shut most of the time, but there are certain subjects that I just can’t sit back and not put in my two cents. It also depends on the people involved in the conversation. If it is close friends, I usually speak my mind. Otherwise, I try and be cautious of what I say and try not to offend.

I am opinionated and I do love to debate, however, I usually do keep my mouth shut. Sometimes, when I know that debating will only lead to harm, I don't say anything. Or on these forums, when I know that what I say will not change anyone's mind, but rather anger them, I refrain from posting.

Depends about what, I'll debate hotly on a handful of issues I consider important, and I'm often pretty good at that. However I don't feel the need to get my .02 in on everything, if it's not something I feel strongly about I'll often say nothing at all, or make a brief comment and if it's not taken, oh well.
Pick your battles! :)

If I believe in something I will be opinionated and debate it, if I don't know what I'm talking about or am not interested then I keep quiet.

I'm a good debator. But at the same time, I know when to keep my mouth shut.

Sometimes, it's perfectly fine to share your opinion, sometimes it's better to keep it to yourself. The trick is to know the difference.

Oh, I'm a debater, but years of working in human resources has taught me to be quiet and banal at work. I let out my real self elsewhere, including here. And sometimes even at work, I'll let something real slip out.

it depends...if the other person is very opinionated, I just keep my mouth shut. especially around drunks, they seem to know everything about everything, when you run across sombody like that, why waste your breath?
spend your knowledge on somebody willing to listen and learn

I'm a little bit of both... I like to stick up for my side of any situation... but sometimes, it either wont help to harp on it or I am just not in the mood to argue...BUT if someone gets me going.... watch out, I will win! :o)

I debate. Sometimes I open my mouth and wish I hadn't. But if I do not speak, who will speak for me?
