Become leader of powerful country, then accuse other countries (where they have large amounts of valuable natural resources) of funding or supporting terrorism. Say you have evidence of this, but cannot release it to the public for national security reasons. Invade said countries and plunder natural resources. repeat until you rule the world. Easy.

None.. cheaper and probably easier to took over the Moon or another planet like Mars.
Having people make things difficult and expensive if you want to change the world to your own view. Eg.. Think what you can do with half a Trillion dollars or more for the Moon or to Mars.
That is how much money is being use so far just for one country.. Iraq. There is another 180+ countries to go.

Make sure the CIA will destabilize most other governments. Create events (9/11) to stimulate popular support for a war in the Middle East. Take over oil fields and establish police states everywhere. Fix elections. Make sure to weaken civil rights at home so that government maintains control of the populace in your homeland.

control the world's resources. Then blackmail the hell out of people. But make sure you have a large army and control of their minds thru propaganda. Then it shouldn't be too hard. Good luck!
