Any music not of church choir, Any non-christian music, is actually the work of the devil. Somewhere on wikipedia. I also heard Lucifer played an instrument or was some sort of heavenly music person. But through the lies and deceit of music. He uses his influences on us. Since music is such a big part of soceity, he uses that as an ultimate tool to leer children away from christ. I believe some of that. What about you?

I listen to hardcore, posthardore, metal, death metal christian rock only for that matter. I don't listen to pop rock christian bands to the person who commented. I know it sings about God, and also has moral themes. Don't get me wrong the screaming and the hardcoreness is awesome, but to some it might send a wrong message even though they can't hear the lyrics. It sounds dark, and satanic, but it's actually all for God. So who knowss.

Some christians believe this. However, I am a Christian and I do not believe this. I think that there is a lot of horrid music out there (christian and secular), but that doesn't make all of it bad.

Yes and No.

Classical, Broadway, instrumental jazz, popular music - No.

Rock and Roll is questionable only because I heard that some of the musicians hired witches to put a spell on their records so they could become hits. Not sure if this is true. Also, remember the subliminal messages supposedly on some records. So who knows.

Some of the writers use drugs or alcohol when they write music.

Jimi Hendricks and Led Zeppelin, real spiritual darkness behind that music. Don't forget Mick Jagger's Sympathy for the Devil. I actually liked that song. Man was I lost.

I should know I was delivered from this kind of music. Made it my god before I knew the true one.

I still like and have some of my old records since my *exorcism of the collection. *That is the ones I would not play if Jesus came by.

I'm pretty sure those type of Christians do exist. I knew a girl growing up who was forbidden to listen to ANY music that was not gospel. I do not believe that the devil has anything to do with today's music. Granted, some of it is a little TOO raunchy. It bothers me that people always focus on Hard Rock, calling it "Satan's work". What about Rap? It's demeaning to women, violent, and encourages stupidity. I think it's just a bunch of undereducated morons with power in Hollywood. Hopefully, it'll pass. Making music is just like anything else in life. People communicating the best way they know how. I doubt it has anything to do with Lucifer.

I do agree with you that Satan does use music as a tool to lure children away from Christ. But I do not agree with you that all music that is non-gospel is of the devil. That is a narrow minded, bigoted approach to God AND the beautiful gift of music He gave us. Some of the most beautiful songs I've heard on "secular" radio stations inspire awe and love in me for God. I've worshipped God through a Celine Dion song! Music is EVERYWHERE....in the sounds around us, the bustle of traffic, the songs of the birds, the roar of the ocean, babies laughing. Everything God touches is a SONG :)

I do not believe that all music must be gospel music. The sounds of nature are a music in themselves. The sounds of children playing are a music. Music should be about life. A sound expressing love to your spouse, your children, your friends, the world is not bad. Some music just makes you happy.

When music moves into violent, sexy, or sinful themes, then it become wrong. Also there is a lot of so called gospel music out there that does not even bother to mention the name of Jesus.

I think there is some non-gospel music that is okay. There's nothing wrong with just singing about life, or instrumental music, but when songs focus on sex and immorality, I think they are wrong.
I don't like some of the new contemporary Christian music; I think the music sounds horrible, and some of them are just hollering, not singing.

Not necessarily everything not Christian is Satanic. But I do believe he has infiltrated our lives more than we realize. I do recommend following the advice of the Bible and to focus on things that are true, pure, of good report, and noble. I personally got rid of all my non-christian music. I find it a lot easier to keep my thoughts on good things, when that is what I choose to fill my mind with.

Not so much from a choir. If the lyrics are telling people to sin, or are all about sinning the yes it is definitely inspired by Satan.
Satan was in charge of all music in Heaven before he was cast down.
There is so much good Christian music out I do not know why anyone would want to listen to anything else.

I have heard that worldly music is sinful, but to some extent that is ridiculous, i mean i understand that being a Christian u should be careful of not listening to filthy music, like nasty rap, but when it comes to music that is poetic and about love, then, i'm sure its ok,

I would not paint all music with that brush. I have heard some music that definitely would please satan. No, I don't believe all music that isn't Christian music is the work of the devil. But I'd agree that some sure helps him along.
