I just passed my two year mark in the Army. At the time I passed that mark I was flagged for pt failure. About 2 days after my 2 year mark, my flag was lifted. It was long overdue (I passed the pt test 6 times since it was initiated). What I want to know is will I still be promoted automatically to E-4 like I should have been or will someone in my chain of command have to do it manually. And if the first choice how soon will it be?

now, it's up to the 1SG and CO and the promotion roster... all it is is circling YES next to your name.

I would check with the chain of command for the flag being lifted. Good Luck.

As far as your LES is concerned you should be making E4 pay unless your chain of command is lightning fast, your CO should have had you promoted the day you passed your PT test.

The advancement is still automatic. As soon as the flag removal goes through, so should the advancement. Check your ERB. If it doesn't show a flag in there, it should list you as an E4. If this is not the case, alert your leadership, because it's not doing its job.

Once the flag is lifted, all favorable actions (promotions, leave, pass, etc) is reinstated. So, yes, your automatic promotion should go into effect.

Unfortunately after you bring it to the attention of your chain of command all you can do is wait.
