so I wanted to know if you freeze strawberries in a zip lock bag and leave it for a week, it would be spoiled or not.

Thanks

Might be the bag. Some items take on the chemicals plastic bags emit faster than other items. Or the strawberries weren't good to start.

I agree that that's specifically a tenet, quite with frozen and pantry ingredients. i'm specific i've got used "expired" frozen fruit interior the previous, yet i do no longer pay interest to the date. If I freeze some thing (tofu, hummus) and that i take it out previous the date, i exploit it extra right now than what i could have in any different case. final week, I opened up a equipment of hummus and that i observed the date replaced right into a pair of weeks previous. I smelled it and gave it to my 3-twelve months-old who liked it super. I had some the day only before this and it tasted super. whilst i replaced into pregnant, I knowingly had some Clifford Crunch cereal that replaced into 2 or 3 months previous date. as quickly as I opened it, it smelled and tasted super. (The date replaced into January a million.) Later that twelve months, I had yet another field of Clifford Crunch. lower back, it smelled and tasted super. i replaced into midway interior the direction of the field until now i found out the date replaced into six months previous. My MIL is s stickler for those dates. She quite thinks that the nutrition is going undesirable on the hours of darkness of the date. (properly, this is an exaggeration.) She does no longer have been happy if she knew I ate "old" nutrition jointly as pregnant. My FIL, however, realizes that dates may be policies and has occurred lots of sturdy nutrition to us so it does not get thrown out. (My husband's sister is like her mom. yet, mockingly, their refrigerator is amazingly unorganized and nutrition gets wasted because of fact it gets hidden, pushed back, forgotten, and so on. as quickly as I bypass to, quite whilst i replaced into pregnant, i bypass by and consume issues until now they actually die. as quickly as, I had a pita from an identical equipment I had on Thanksgiving and this replaced into properly after January. The bread replaced right into a sprint dry, yet nevertheless reliable.) besides, i desire this facilitates.

sound more like freezer burn did you use a freezer bag and get all or a much of the out as you could? dose freezer smell? as those smells can get trapped in your food. Personally if not dipping them in chocolate I use the frozen from the store.

If you hulled and washed the strawberries and froze them with in 2 days of picking or buying them, then used them within one month of freezing them, they should have been fine. I agree with the others, they were freezerburnt.
