Overpopulation? If you had 7 billion people living in the state of Texas each person could have 1042.640212 square feet to live in. And you are saying the Earth is overpopulated!

Because, overpopulation isn't the reason. Violence is on the rise in rural areas too. I know, I've lived in a few (and still do).
It's the culture. Crowdedness does not necessarily mean that people will become more violent. And looking at history we can see abundant examples of low population densities combined with violent inhabitants. Clearly it is not the amount of people, but their culture.

Yeah, and 95% of them believe in this "god" you speak of. Have you been outside? Surely there is plenty of violence there. Just by breathing you are killing endless numbers of "germs" that are out and about. That is completely violent. There is violence there everywhere, so, how is talking about it really going to get to that violence. All these uses for language are violent; your question, in some cases, will stop at nothing to get answered. Overpopulation isn't the cause of violence. So, what is this violence you are really talking about?

There is no such thing as overpopulation ... just bad resource management, greed, and corruption.

Well think about it, if you put more sinful people together, you get more sin. The underlying cause of violence is caused by our wickedness. Sure when you have more people together you will have more clamoring and bickering for resources, but all of those problems exist due to sin.
